The examination will take place from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. It is important to note that candidates will only be allowed entry to the examination center up to 1 hour before the commencement of the paper, which means entry will be permitted until 10:00 am. This examination is set to host a substantial number of candidates, with a total of 38,194 candidates registered to take the test at 118 examination centers in Udaipur alone. Furthermore, across the state of Rajasthan, a staggering 6.97 lakh candidates have registered for the RAS Pre Exam-2023. This indicates a significant level of interest and participation in the examination, emphasizing its importance in the region.

The RAS exam is structured into three distinct phases, where candidates must progress sequentially. Only those who successfully clear the first stage will advance to the subsequent ones. These three phases are Pre, Mains, and Interview. The RAS Preliminary Examination is the initial step, and it carries a weightage of 200 marks. This stage consists of questions that cover subjects such as General Knowledge and General Science. The duration of this examination is set at three hours. Candidates who manage to pass the preliminary examination will then proceed to the mains examination. The RAS Mains examination represents the next stage for successful candidates from the preliminary round. Those who pass the Mains will subsequently be invited for an interview.

It is important to note that the final selection will be made from among the candidates who successfully navigate all three stages of the examination process, emphasizing the rigorous and comprehensive nature of the RAS selection procedure.

Collector Arvind Poswal has issued comprehensive instructions pertaining to the preparations for the upcoming examination, including the restoration of traffic and transportation facilities for the candidates on the examination day. Special attention has been given to preventing traffic congestion along the route from Delhi Gate to City Railway Station via Udaipol. Furthermore, ADM Administration Shailesh Surana has conducted a thorough review of the examination centers to ensure their readiness and smooth functioning. In Udaipur, a dedicated control room for managing the examination logistics has been established in room number 126 of the Collectorate.
