The education department is launching a program called the "APJ Abdul Kalam Personality Development Program" aimed at improving students' comprehension of science. As part of this initiative, students will have the opportunity to visit science-related institutions nationwide, including ISRO. The state government has allocated a dedicated budget of Rs 88.20 lakh for the Udaipur and Banswara regions combined.

In the initial phase, 2,000 students will be selected from both regions, with 360 chosen from across the state. However, comprehensive guidelines for the plan are yet to be released. The Scholarship and Incentive Department will be entirely responsible for overseeing this program. 

The state government is planning the inaugural trip to take children on a visit to ISRO. However, progress is contingent upon obtaining permission from ISRO. Each student will bear a cost of Rs 10,000/- for the trip, in addition to separate expenses of Rs 14,500/- covering accommodation, hotel stays, light meals, and regular meals. Consequently, the total expenditure for each student is estimated at Rs 24,500/-. According to Sanjay Dhawan, the Director of Financial Advisory, the total expense for 2,000 students will amount to Rs 4.90 crore.
