Udaipur, October 1, 2024 - Winter timing of government schools in Rajasthan this year will now come into effect from October 15 instead of October 1 as is published in the Shivira Panchang.  This decision was taken by the State Education Department following a request raised by the teachers union to not revise the timing now owing to heat conditions and in the interest of the students. School timing from October 15 will be 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Sher Singh Chauhan, from the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj and Secondary Teachers' Union, said that after a memorandum was sent to the Education Minister, the Director of Secondary Education, Bikaner, amended the school schedule in the Shivira Panchang and issued an order. This decision has been welcomed by the teachers union.
