Workshop at MLSU on Implemention of New Education Policy

Online application system for student services - like migration certificates, revised mark sheets, provisional degrees and transcript - soon

Udaipur, July 12, 2025 - A one-day workshop on the New Education Policy (NEP) was held on Friday July 11 at the Bappa Rawal Auditorium of Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU). The session aimed to equip affiliated colleges with essential training on NEP implementation and the revamped examination system, setting the stage for a smarter, skill-driven academic future.

Dr PS Rajpoot, MLSU Controller of Examinations, outlined the objectives of the workshop. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sunita Mishra emphasised that tasks related to college students should be carried out with dedication, timeliness and responsiveness.

She said that students who miss the opportunity to fill out exam forms would be allowed to submit their applications online at the university level even before the exams begin.

To make student services faster and more convenient, the university is launching a streamlined online system where students can easily apply and pay for essential documents like migration certificates, revised mark sheets, provisional degrees, and transcripts. No more long waits - documents will be delivered within a short, defined timeframe.

Prof. KB Joshi, NEP Nodal Officer, explained that under the undergraduate curriculum, in addition to selected core subjects, one skill-based paper per semester is mandatory. In the first and third semesters, the skill paper is determined by the State Government, while in the fourth, fifth, and sixth semesters, students can choose a skill paper from any stream - Arts, Science or Commerce - offered by the college.
