"Maktub", a short film unique in its presentation, got a special Jury mention at the 12th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival 2022 after it was officiall selected for screening at the festival.

The uniqueness of "Maktub" is that it is India's first poetic short film. The characters in the film communicate in the form of poems (Shayari). Routine dialogue delivery is replaced by Shayari.

This is not the first time that "Maktub" - Story of a Poet has received accolades. Directed by Subastou Daksh Pandey and shot completely within the Jagat Niwas Palace in the walled city area of Udaipur, Maktub trilogy won the award for best DOP at the World International Film Festival, received a special mention at the 8th Short International Films Festival in Kolkatta in 2019 and a special mention at the Delhi Shorts International Film Festival 2019.

Maktub is a joint production of FairPencil Entertainment in association with My City My Angle of Udaipur and HK Entertainment, Jaipur.  The movie is based on a story by Arunendra Kumar and the movie stars Himank Kalaal, Deepak Sharma ,Tarun Joshi, Maansi Bhatnagar and Indradutt Vyas. Cinematography and editing has been done by Yashwant Sahu and the background score is by Sahil Jonas. The movie was recorded and dubbed at Silhouette Music Studio. The post production work has been done at HK Entertainment, Jaipur.
