Universal Pictures and Tinder Celebrate the Release of the Action Rom-Com of the Summer in India

Universal Pictures India have partnered with Tinder, the most popular app for meeting new people, for a special Indian premiere of the action-comedy film The Fall Guy, directed by David Leitch and starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. Fresh off an almost career-ending accident, the film, distributed by Warner Bros. Discovery follows the journey of stuntman Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling) who is reunited with an ex ‘match’ while working on the set of director Jody Moreno's (Emily Blunt) new project, showcasing that anything is possible – on screen and in real life, just like on Tinder.

In a world where everyone can be the 'main character' of their own life, "The Fall Guy" celebrates your best friend, your trusted Matchmaker, who helps you navigate your dating journey, calms pre-date jitters, and provides killer icebreakers to help you shine as the star of your own story. In fact, recent survey data by Tinder reveals that Gen Z across India are no strangers to letting friends swipe on dating apps on their behalf. Over a third (37%) have swiped for a friend, and close to a third (28%) have had their friends swipe for them.

Commenting on the collaboration with Universal Pictures, Anukool Kumar, Marketing Director for Tinder in India said, “Modern dating has evolved into a team sport where singles swap stories and seek advice from their closest friends. In a recent survey, over 75% of singles revealed that they discuss their dating lives with friends’ multiple times a month. These friendships act as ultimate matchmakers and 'fall guys,' supporting each other through every match and navigating the twists and turns of modern dating. At Tinder, we celebrate these connections that enrich the dating journey, making it more exciting and meaningful."
