James May's  "Our Man In Japan" will have scenes of  Udaipur in the third series

James May's most recent journey will take him to Udaipur, Varanasi, Kolkata and other significant Indian destinations

 

For the third series of his Our Man In Japan series, James May is travelling in India. Scenes of Udaipur will be shown in the series. The series shooting has started in India and it is expected to be released shortly before 2024. 

The 60-year-old Bristol-born celebrity has already been to Japan and Italy for his Prime Video travel show, and he expressed excitement for his next 3,000-mile journey across the Indian subcontinent.

Beginning in Mumbai, May will make his way to Udaipur, Kolkata. Then the "golden triangle" of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur will then be covered by him. He will travel to Kolkata before continuing on to the Himalayan foothills in Darjeeling and finishing at the Sundarbans, a region renowned for its natural splendour. The sacred city Varanasi will also be explored by him.
