Bird Fair 2014 begins at Pichola Lake

Under the joint collaboration of Forest & Tourism Department – Bird Fair 2014 started today. More than 500 attendees including students from various schools, bird watchers and photographers marked their presence in the event at Pichola Lake.

 

Under the joint collaboration of Forest & Tourism Department – Bird Fair 2014 started today. More than 500 attendees including students from various schools, bird watchers and photographers marked their presence in the event at Pichola Lake.

Arjunlal Meena, MLA, inaugurated the event and said that, “With the collective experiences of Bird Watchers, Forest & Tourism Department and other collaborators, the event should seek for budget from the state government for environmental protection.”

Bhawani Singh Detha, District Commissioner said that, “The event has created environmental awareness among students”. He also emphasized the youth to come forward and be an active participant.

Harshwardhan Shekhawat was the special guest of the inaugural event along with Vikram Singh, President, Tourism Department.

A Painting and Quiz competition was also organized in the event for the students. Photos of Birds clicked by Wildlife Photographer, Sharad Agrawal were also showcased.

In the workshop, a seminar on “Bird Tourism in India and It’s potential in Udaipur Region” was also held at RCM compound.

Dr. Raza Tehsin, OP Gill, Vikram Singh, NC Jain and Rahul Bhatnagar were also present in the event.
