A conference on the topic of Expansion and Development of Ahar (Ayad) Civilization was organized by State Archaeological and Museum Department today.
Many educationists, government officials and civic authority officials attended the event and shared their views on the development and preservation of these heritage sites.
William D Souza, principal of St Anthony School said that the civilization of Ahar, its heritage and contribution in early human society should be added in the academic curriculum so that the students could know the history and its importance.
Mubarak Hussain a senior officer at Archaeological and Museum Department has welcomed the audience and presented the objective of the conference. Local area corporator Jagat Nagda ensured to take needful measures in preserving the archaeological site of Ahar. Dr Lalit Pandey has emphasized on scientific research on the things found during excavation.
Dr Jeevan Kharkhwal, Dr Dev Kothari, Dr Kishna Jugnu, Dr Vishnu Mali also expressed their concern over the subject.
