Schools conduct various programs for Independence Day

On the occasion of 65th Independence Day, Sarvadharma Maitri Sangh has been running a series of competitions for the school children.

 

On the occasion of 65th Independence Day, Sarvadharma Maitri Sangh has been running a series of competitions for the school children.

The month long program, which began on 1st August, includes Fancy Dress, Essay Writing, Drawing, Speech, Singing and Dancing competitions etc. The competition has attracted participation of quite a few schools across the city.

As part of the programme, a speech competition was held at Alok School today. A singing competition has been scheduled at St. Anthony School on 13th August. Finally, on 25th Aug dance competition and closing ceremony will be organized at Sukhadia Auditorium, University Road.

According to Father Norbert Herman, Director of Sarvadharma Maitri, the programs are being conducted with a view of inculcating patriotism within students and to help them become better citizens of India.
