Check on adulteration-Samples of ghee, oil and mava being taken for purity test

Food adulteration is a common issue especially during festive season.
 

-To keep a check on the purity of sweets during Diwali season, the food department is taking samples from various shops.

-The reports of the lab tests will arrive in 14 days. 

Food adulteration needs to be dealt with strictly. To increase the sale and to get more out of less, many suppliers and shops have been known to adulterate the food products which include ghee, oil, mava especially during festive seasons.

The food department has started taking samples of various sweets to keep a check on purity. The reports of the tests will arrive in 14 days.

As informed by the food inspector, samples of refined oil, vanaspati, malai barfi and mava were taken from some of the stores in Pratapnagar. The food department is strictly keeping a check so that people are not delivered the adulterated stuff.

The campaign on keeping a check on the purity of food products has been going on since long and will continue more strictly during festive season. The reports of the tests will arrive after 14 days and then action will be taken based on the reports.
