The National Medical Commission team evaluated the Nephrology department at RNT Medical College, Udaipur as a process before approving the Doctorate of Medicine course at RNT. The NMC team assessed the existing infrastructure and the resources required to administer the course.
This report will be sent to NMC on the inspector's behalf. If all goes as planned, admission to this course will be open in 2024. MBBS graduates desirous of taking up Doctor in Medicine (MD) courses will be eligible to seek admission in this course.
Once this course begins in RNT, Kidney and Liver transplance procedures will also be facilitated at RNT. Earlier the Neurosurgery and Neurology team from NMC has also inspected the facilities at RNT for the same purpose.
Surveys of the Neurology, Endocrinology, and Gastroenterology departments are still pending. Dr. Lakhan Poswal said that preparations towards the inspection of these three departments are under progress.
