RGHS Cashless Treatment in Private Hospitals to Continue
Udaipur, July 15, 2025 - Private hospitals in the State will not suspend cashless treatment under the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS) starting Tuesday July 15. Beneficiaries under the RGHS will continue to get treatment in private hospitals. A consensus was reached between the State Medical Department and Rajasthan Alliance of Hospital Association following a meeting at the Jaipur Secretariat yesterday, July 14, with Gayatri Rathore, Principal Secretary of the Medical and Health Department.
During the meeting, it was agreed that efforts would be made to clear pending claims up to March 31, 2025, by July 31, 2025. Depending on budget availability, payments will be attempted within 45 to 60 days.
To streamline various provisions and processes under the scheme, a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) will be prepared. Efforts will be made to finalise the SOP in three months as per the suggestions and advice of stakeholders and advisory panel. Additionally, a minimum documentation protocol will also be adopted to simplify procedures.
Earlier, the Rajasthan Alliance of Hospital Association had announced closure of the RGHS scheme being run by the government in the State from July 15. The Alliance had cited several shortcomings in the scheme and said that private hospitals have not received payments related to RGHS for a long time.
