Over a dozen of students from Masters in Computer Applications, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, protested violently at Vigyan Bhawan today morning after they were informed by some unknown sources that the department has stopped the grace system for them.

The matter came into notice when 14 students of the 4thsemester failed in the exams.

Students were led by the University President, who immediately came to the Vigyan Bhawan, Block A and requested Dr. S.N.A Jaffery Director of Computer Centre, MLSU, to resolve the issue.

Dr. Jaffery said, “University had issued new guidelines regarding the implementation of grace marks according to which, students who enrolled in the year 2012 and after will not be provided grace marks anymore.”

Dr. Jaffery  confirmed that “This has surely been a mistake on administrations part because the students of 4th semester do not come under these guidelines. I have talked to the Vice Chancellor regarding this. A committee will be formed tomorrow and the matter will be sorted out with immediate effect”.
