Non teaching Workers’ Union of Mohan Lal Sukhadia University protested at the administration block at 12 pm today.

The workers of the union opposed the meeting of the Board of Management (BOM) that took place today in Jaipur. They said that the Vice Chancellor is keeping dual standards and being biased. He held the meeting in Jaipur in order to avoid the objection by the Non teaching staff.

According to sources, a meeting of BOM was held in October 2011, in which the Vice Chancellor promised to regularize 33 posts of non teaching staff with the approval of government. If the government refuses to regularize, then it will be done at the University level.

Followed by the first one, another meeting took place in which 21 days were demanded by the Vice Chancellor to get the approval from the government for the regularization of posts. And this time also, the same promise was made to regularize the posts at his authority level, if not from the government.

It has been more than four months now that the meeting hasn’t taken place. And now, when it has finally taking place, it is scheduled in Jaipur instead of Udaipur.

“The meeting should take place in Udaipur instead of Jaipur so that we can also put up our problems in front of the Board. In the past, the Vice Chancellor avoided our demands, consoling us by increasing the time period to satisfy our demands”, said Bharat Vyas, President, Non-teaching Workers’ Union, MLSU.
