Social Organizations demand Kidney Hospital in City

Lakecity Kidney Care and Relief Foundation with more than 50 other social organizations of the city jointly presented a memorandum in the name of Governor of Rajasthan Margaret Alawa. The activists demanded better medicine and health care options for kidney patients of the city.

More than a dozen people led by Jitendra Singh Rathod, President of Relief Foundation laid dharna outside collectorate today and handed over the memorandum enclosed with 12 points demand to district administration.

The first and foremost demand is to instigate a separate Kidney treatment unit at Maharana Bhupal Hospital and installing dialysis units at all satellite hospitals of the city.

Protestors also mentioned that Udaipur is one of the largest cities in Southern Rajasthan and is also closed to the tribal belt. Kidney hospital and research center will definitely help hundreds of patients.

Rathod who is a social worker said that in Udaipur region every one out of five boys and girls of 11 year age is suffering from urinary tract infection. Due to hot and rigid climate and high quantity of fluoride in water, many people suffer from kidney stone.

If government thinks about constructing a dedicated unit for Kidney related diseases then the patients would get relief from travelling to other places for treatment.
