December 19, 2024 - Pranit Mathur of Jodhpur, has won gold and silver medals for India at the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO). He achieved this feat at the recently held Olympiad in Bucharest, Romania.

According to his parents, Vikas Mathur and Dr Rini Mathur, the competition, which began on December 2, saw participation from 52 countries. Pranit won a gold medal in Physics, a silver medal in Chemistry, and a total of three medals, the most by any participant in this competition.

Pranit shared that during the competition in Romania, he had a high fever but did not lose his determination.  Pranit, a 10th-grade student, has been studying in Ahmedabad for the past five years.
