October 20, 2024: Udaipur is set to witness the largest investment in the district so far. 177 investment proposals worth 11,429 Cr have been received at the District level and more than 50 investment proposals worth 15,000 Cr have been received at the State level for Udaipur district. 70% of these proposals are for the tourism sector and are expected to generate employment for 35,000 people.

This information was provided by Shailendra Sharma, the General Manager of the Udaipur District Industrial Centre (DIC). He added that the investments have been received under the guided program chaired by the District Collector, Arvind Poswal, and all departments have contributed significantly in encouraging investors to direct their investments towards Udaipur. Apart from the Tourism Sector, investments are expected in the industrial sector, RIICO, UDA, UMC and Revenue departments.

The Rising Rajasthan District Level Summit is being held in each district of Rajasthan before the final Rising Rajasthan Summit that will be held at Jaipur between 9-11 December 2024. In this order, the Udaipur District Level Summit is being held at Hotel Radisson Blue in Udaipur on October 21, 2024. TAD Minister Babulal Kharadi, District Incharge and Revenue and Colonization Department Minister Hemant Meena and Secretary Incharge Ms. Anandi will be the Chief Guests at the event. After the initial registration process, various department will make their presentations to the investors, subsequent to which, MoUs will be exchanged.
