Mandatory Power Cut and Load Shedding Announced for Rajasthan
Load Shedding in Udaipur will be between 8am till 9am.

The planned load shedding will be in addition to the maintenance power cuts
A mandatory power cut has been defined for all cities across Rajasthan to address the shortage of power in the state. Accordingly there will be a scheduled power cut in the state as per the following schedule effective 28 April:
- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer Divisional HQs: 7am till 8am
- Udaipur, Kota, Bharatpur, Bikaner Divisional HQs: 8am till 9am
- District Headquarters: 6:30am till 8:30am
- Municipal Towns and Villages < 5000 population: 6am till 9am
- Industrial Connections: 6am till 10am (load restriction 50% of demand)
- Rural Areas: as per schedule sent to district headquarters.
The order, issued by the Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited and sent from the office of the MD and Chairman Bhaskar Sawant, specifies the above schedule. It also mentions that the mandatory load shedding is being done to address the power shortage in the state.
The order also says that the electricity supply hours to agriculture consumers has been reduced from 6 hours to 5 hours and the morning Ag block between 6am till 12noon will be shited to night hours.
