On Saturday, October 29, 2022, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot left his Gujarat election campaign to travel to Udaipur to attend the unveiling of the tallest Lord Shiva idol in the world at Nathdwara.
When Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot arrived at the Tekri helipad at Nathdwara around 3 pm, he was joined by Speaker CP Joshi, Ministers Shanti Dhariwal, Lal Chand Kataria, Raghu Sharma, Rajendra Yadav and Udailal Anjana. He visited Shrinathji Temple and the Uthappan Jhanki. He then arrived at Tadpadam, the location of the 369-foot-tall Lord Shiva idol. Sant Murari Bapu gave the idol the name "Vishwas Swaroopam" (faith embodied), and dedicated it to the general public. Ashok Gehlot praised Tadpadam trustee Madan Paliwal for his hard work.
A number of high-profile guests and people of faith, both domestic and international will attend the nine-day ceremony and katha. The ceremony's attendees were Baba Ramdev, Phool Chand Meena, MP Diya Kumari, BJP state president Satish Poonia and Leader of the Opposition of Rajasthan Gulabchand Kataria.
