Hathi Pol and Shani Maharaaj Temple Roundabout Cleared
Udaipur Municipal Corporation Takes Action to Clear Congested Roads
On Friday, April 5,2024, Udaipur Municipal Corporation undertook a significant initiative to alleviate congestion on the city's roads. Working in conjunction with the police force, municipal workers arrived at the Hathi Pol intersection. Their primary objective was to clear the roundabout leading to the Shani Dev Temple.
At the roundabout, a shrine had been set up. While removing the shrine, initial opposition was encountered from some individuals. However, after providing explanations, consensus was reached, and the shrine was dismantled.
The effort to remove garbage continued until late evening. Adjacent to the roundabout stands a green tree, which was also trimmed by municipal authorities to maintain road clearance.
In line with the action plan, the tree obstructing the road will be removed in the coming days. This action has completely alleviated congestion from the intersection to Chetak Circle, facilitating smoother traffic flow from both directions. Furthermore, the route to the Shani Dev Temple is now entirely unobstructed, enhancing accessibility for worshippers and visitors.
Shaktinagar Bottleneck Removal
Additionally, the municipal corporation has expedited the reopening process of the Shakti Nagar bottleneck since Friday. Following the evacuation of surrounding properties, demolition work has commenced with the assistance of JCBs and labourers.
It is anticipated that the road leading to the bottleneck will be fully accessible within the next two days. Municipal authorities, including Police Inspector Mangilal Dangi and Revenue Officer Vijay Jain, are overseeing these efforts alongside the Home Guard.
