Anti-encroachment drive continues in Udaipur

The Udaipur Municipality is hitting out hard on encroachments across town. With the anti-encroachment drive ongoing for the last one week, areas like Chetak Circle, Mahakal, Sukhadia Circle, Fatehpura, Hiran Magri, etc have been covered and the action is still on.

Today the team covered areas near Panchwati and Madhuban in their drive.

Paras Singhvi, Deputy Mayor of Udaipur informed that encroachments were removed from the areas between Chetak Circle to Shiksha Bhawan, Swaroop Sagar, Radaji Chauraha to Mahakal temple, Sukahdia Circle to Fatehpura Circle.

Many handicraft shops, 2 cabins, benches, tables and chair boards on the roadside were removed during the encroachment. The municipality says that the encroachment led to footpaths and road side areas being disrupted. It was becoming difficult to park vehicles, walk on the pavements, etc. Also a lot of minor accidents were taking place.
