Atiq Ahmed, brother Ashraf killed in shootout 

Assilants shot at Atiq from close range

Mafia turned politician Atiq Ahmed and his Ashraf Ahmed were killed in a shootout live on camera being taken for medical check up and Prayagraj on Saturday night.

The incident comes just a day after Atiq's 20 year old son Asad and his 40 year old accomplice Ghulam both wanted in Umesh Pal murder case were shot dead in an exchange of fire with the Uttar Pradesh police.

The initial report, Atiq Ahmed and his brother, Ashraf Ahmed, were killed in a firing near the medical college in UP's Prayagraj

Two persons were seen firing from close range at Atiq Ahmad and his brother who were being taken for a medical in Prayagraj. Around 11 rounds were fired during the incident. Police has nabbed 3 accused from the spot. One Police man and a journalist was reportedly injured during the attack. However 17 police officers present on the spot during the incidence were suspended and section 144 of Crpc has been imposed in the area.

The dead bodies of both the brothers were shifted to mortuary.
