Ayodhya's Ram Mandir officially opens doors for public
Number of pilgrims arrived at the temple for worship...
Ram Mandir in Ayodhya officially opened its doors to the general public on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. After the consecration ceremony led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi the previous day, a significant turnout was anticipated by the administration. Pilgrims, eager to be part of the historic event, began arriving at the gates as early as 3:00 AM.
As the morning progressed, by 6:00 AM, the Ram Janmabhoomi Path leading to the temple was filled with devotees, creating a bustling and enthusiastic atmosphere. The sheer number of pilgrims resulted in a crowded situation, with many trying to make their way inside the sacred premises. The excitement and devotion of the people were evident in the early hours of this special day.
Even though the officials had planned to open the temple gates at 7:00 AM after the morning rituals, a massive crowd had gathered earlier than expected. To handle the situation, extra security forces were called in before allowing people to enter for darshan (sacred viewing).
Following the special ceremony led by PM Modi called 'Pran Pratishtha,' the chief priest, Acharya Satyendra Das, announced that people would be able to see and worship the idol of Ram Lalla starting from Tuesday.
