An elevated road is expected to be built at Bhuwana, Udaipur
The elevated road has been mentioned in the Budget 2023-24
Udaipur is experiencing an increase in traffic due to which work has begun to prepare an elevated route from Bhuwana Chauraha to Bhuwana Village in an effort to relieve the congestion. Urban Improvement Trust is constructing an elevated road in response to the CM Ashok Gehlot's Budget declaration.
The budget for 2023–24 mentioned the elevated road. For this, Ashok Gehlot has set aside Rs. 90 crore. On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, the Urban Improvement Trust published a request for proposals for the detailed project report (DPR) of the elevated road from Bhuwana Chauraha to Bhuwana village.
The deadline for submission of the tender by the applicants is March 21, 2023. The work will be finished in two phases, according to the sought-after schedule. The report of the demand and traffic surge evaluation must be created in the initial phase. In addition, it is necessary to develop and disclose the cost of the elevated road, service road, and bridge. The project will be renovated in the subsequent stage. The conclusion of the bid process, selection of an approved contractor following the opening of the tender, and project-critical services will all be resolved in this.
There is currently traffic congestion from the Bhuwana villages to Bhuwana Chauraha as a result of the movement of small and large vehicles heading to Gogunda, Pindwara, Mount Abu, Nathdwara, Ajmer, and Jaipur within the city of Udaipur.
Due to Bhuwana's narrow roads, there is an issue with morning and evening traffic bottlenecks that cause inconvenience for both locals and passengers in passenger vehicles. According to trust officials, the problem of traffic pressure and congestion would be solved by the construction of an elevated route. How long it will take for construction can only be estimated through DPR.
