BSNL Introduces 7 New Services
New logo, in India flag tri-colour, symbolises BSNL’s reach across the country
Udaipur, October 25, 2024 - Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a new logo, replacing the old one. The new logo incorporates the three colours of the Indian flag (saffron, white, and green), featuring a saffron circle and a map of India. According to the government communications service provider, this new logo symbolises trust, strength and BSNL's reach across the country.
BSNL general manager Hariprasad Meena announced that BSNL has introduced three new pillars for customers: Security, Affordability, and Reliability. For these pillars, the company has launched seven new services:
Spam-Free Network: A new technology using AI to block spam calls and messages, helping users avoid fraud calls and messages. Customers will also receive alerts regarding such messages.
National Wi-Fi Roaming: The first FTTH-based Wi-Fi roaming service has been launched, allowing BSNL users to enjoy high-speed internet at hotspots without additional charges.
IFTV (Fibre-based Intranet Live TV Service): This service enables BSNL users to enjoy over 500 live TV channels.
Anytime SIM (ATS) Kiosk: BSNL has introduced kiosks similar to ATMs for purchasing and upgrading SIM cards, available 24/7 at railway stations and public places.
Direct-to-Device Service: This service will provide better connectivity by integrating satellite and mobile networks.
Public Safety and Disaster Relief: During natural disasters, this service will provide encrypted communication to the government and relief agencies, ensuring connectivity in affected areas. It will use drone or balloon-based communication systems.
First Private 5G in Mines: In collaboration with C-DAC, BSNL has launched a 5G network for providing high-speed connectivity in underground mines using AI and IoT technology.
