Call Center for Mobile Veterinary Services to Operate in Rajasthan

One mobile veterinary unit will operate for every 100,000 animals

A call center for mobile veterinary services will be officially launched to provide veterinary care directly to livestock owners in Rajasthan. The inauguration took place at the Rajasthan State Livestock Management Training Institute on Agra Road in Jaipur, attended by Animal Husbandry Minister Jorar Ram Kumawat and State Animal Husbandry Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham.

In Rajasthan, one mobile veterinary unit will operate for every 100,000 animals, supported by the Government of India with a total of 536 mobile units. These units will bring veterinary services directly to the homes of livestock owners.

Previously, these units offered services by setting up camps along specific routes. With the introduction of the new call center, livestock owners can now receive veterinary assistance right at their doorsteps. They can call the helpline number 1962 to access these services.

Each mobile unit will be staffed with a veterinarian, a technical veterinary worker, and a driver who will also serve as an animal caretaker. The call center will employ a team of 10 veterinarians and technical workers to provide telemedicine services for the treatment of common animal diseases.
