Admissions to Indian Universities through CUET open for Foreigners, NRIs and OCIs

Apart from examination centres all across India, there are 24 examination centres outside India.

 

Jagadesh Kumar, the Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), in a statement on Friday, 24 February said Foreigners, Non Resident Indians and Overseas Citizens of India are eligible to apply for the Common University Entrance Test - Undergraduate (CUET) for 2023.

As per the directives in the CUET 2023 registration, the candidates applying under the Foreigners, NRI or OCI categories will be permitted to sit for the entrance examination at any of the 24 centres outside India.

The CUET - UG registration process began on 9 February 2023 and the last date for submitting application forms is 12 March 2023. The examination will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) to be held between 21-31 May 2023. The examination will be held across 3 shifts each day.

CUET (UG) - 2023 is meant for admission to UG courses offered by Central Universities and other specified participating Institutions for the academic year 2023-24. Apart from the Central Universities, there are other participating Universities also which include State Government Universities, Autonomous Institution, Private University, Deemed University etc. Their details are available at the CUET (UG) portal.
