Bhatnagar battled Dermatomyositis, a rare inflammatory disease causing skin rashes and muscle weakness, ultimately succumbing to medical complications at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on February 16, 2024.

Suhani Bhatnagar, recognized for her portrayal of young Babita Phogat alongside Aamir Khan in the blockbuster 'Dangal', tragically lost her battle against Dermatomyositis, a debilitating illness. The disease, characterized by skin rashes and muscle weakness, affected her lungs, leading to fatal complications arising from an infection and fluid accumulation.

The 19-year-old actor had been admitted to AIIMS Delhi on February 7, 2024 after experiencing a rapid decline in health. Despite efforts, her condition did not improve. Suhani's father, Sumit Bhatnagar, disclosed that her symptoms began approximately two months prior, with a confirmed diagnosis only days before her demise.

Dermatomyositis is an extremely rare condition, with only a handful of cases reported worldwide. Suhani's father lamented the scarcity of treatment options for the illness, emphasizing its rarity and the challenges it poses to medical intervention.
