Development of roads within the Rajsamand and Udaipur districts...
In preparation for the election year, the Central Road Development Fund (CRIF) has designated a budget of Rs 110.52 crore for the development of roads within the Rajsamand and Udaipur districts. Within this allocation, two major district roads located in the Mavli assembly constituency are set to receive Rs 35.49 crore for substantial enhancements. Furthermore, the allocated funds include Rs 61.55 crore earmarked for the improvement of the PWD Amet section in Rajsamand, along with Rs 10.53 crore designated for Nathdwara and Rs 2.95 crore allocated for the Bhim section road. These budgetary provisions cover a total of 74 roads at the state level.
After the budget was approved, the Additional Chief Engineer's Office of the Public Works Department (PWD) issued tenders on August 22, 2023. The deadline for submitting tenders is September 14, and the opening of the tenders is scheduled for September 15, 2023, at 4:00 pm. The allocated budget is specifically designated for the augmentation and extension of Major District Roads spanning over 10 kilometers in length. This initiative is facilitated through the Central Road Development Fund (CRIF). Notably, this could signify the concluding road-related tender process prior to the enforcement of the code of conduct.
Dharmanarayan Joshi, the MLA of Mavli, elucidated that the roads in Mavli are situated within the Vallabhnagar subdivision of the Public Works Department (PWD). As a result, the budget allocation has been directed to the Vallabhnagar subdivision to address the road development requirements in the area.
