Fire Incidents During Diwali Celebrations in Udaipur
During the Diwali celebrations on October 29, 30, and 31, 2024, ten different vacant plots in the city experienced fire incidents due to firecrackers. An incident occurred on Gulab Bagh Road, where a scooter was completely burnt after being ignited by sparks from the fireworks.
Child Injured in Firecracker Accident
Dr. R.L. Suman, the superintendent of MB Hospital, reported a serious accident involving a 10-year-old boy from Hiran Magri. On October 30, while burning a firecracker, it exploded in the child's hands, resulting in severe burns to his fingers. Fortunately, he received treatment and was later discharged from the hospital.
Garbage Fires Reported Across the City
Fire officer Shivram confirmed several incidents of garbage fires in vacant plots. On October 29, a fire broke out in a vacant plot at Subcity Center. The following day, another fire ignited garbage in a vacant plot in Meera Nagar. On October 31, fires were reported in vacant plots at Parshuram Chauraha and several other locations, including Kumkum Vatika, Bhupalpura, Mallatalai, Neemach Mata, and near Court Chauraha.
