In an upcoming Southern Western Command Investiture Ceremony, slated for Saturday, five individuals from Rajasthan are set to be recognized for their outstanding contributions. The ceremony, organized under the Dot on Target Division of Sapta Shakti Command, will witness the felicitation of 17 officers and soldiers.
Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth and the Commander of South Western Command will present a total of 17 awards, comprising 10 gallantry and seven distinguished service awards. Among the recipients, Major Vikas Bhambhu (posthumous), Major Shubham Gaur, Major Ahimanyu Repswal, and Grenadier Anil Kumar will be honored with the Sena Medal for gallantry. Additionally, Colonel Mahendra Singh will be bestowed with the Vishisht Seva Medal.
The investiture ceremony, a once-a-year event, aims to acknowledge individuals for their gallantry and exceptional devotion to duty. In addition to individual awards, 17 units will be recognized with the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief unit appreciation for their noteworthy performance.
