Rajasthan's first floating solar plant is established in Udaipur

These mines have taken the form of a pond in about 7200 square meters

 

Rajasthan’s first floating solar plant was inaugurated in Udaipur on Wednesday 29 March 2023. Major cement producer Udaipur Cement has established this at its Daroli Mines. These mines have taken the form of a pond in about 7200 square meters. The plant was prepared in 4 months. Energy Minister Bhati said that Rajasthan has become a pioneer state in renewable energy production. 

The plant was inaugurated by Chief Guest State Energy Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati, Water Resources Minister Mahendrajit Singh Malviya, State Minister Jagdish Raj Shrimali and Vallabhnagar MLA Preeti Shaktawat. Shrivats Singhania, Director of the company was also present on the occasion. 

In the program, Minister of State Jagdish Raj Shrimali appreciated the innovations being done. The company's CSR head Maheep DD Charan said that the biggest benefit from the 1 MW project would be environmental protection along with many savings.
