Kevde Ki Naal Forest Fire Successfully Controlled
Nearly 350 hectares of forest land destroyed by fire...
The forest department employees successfully brought a raging fire under control in the Kevde ki Naal area of the Sarada Range. The fire had destroyed nearly 350 hectares of land, causing significant damage.
Over the past three to four days, multiple mountainous regions had been ablaze, according to the forest department. Despite concerted efforts by department officials and local firefighting teams, the fire continued to spread in the forest.
However, on Wednesday around 9:00 pm, with the assistance of a helicopter, authorities managed to gain control over the fire, which had spread from the mountains to the roadside. By Thursday afternoon around 1:30, with the presence of Ranger Khemraj Mona, the forest department employees finally succeeded in fully extinguishing the fire. Their coordinated efforts and timely action were instrumental in bringing the situation under control.
It is important to note that the fire caused extensive damage to dry vegetation and grasslands in the affected area. Authorities are now assessing the aftermath and planning necessary measures for rehabilitation and prevention of such incidents in the future.
