Four laning of Gomti Chauraha Approved
The CCI (Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure) passed the plan for the implementation of 4/2 laning of Gomti Chauraha in Udaipur region in a meeting held today. The site is on NH8 in Rajasthan under the NHDP Phase II on DBFOT basis.
The total cost of the project implementation is estimated to be approximately Rs. 1,114.27 crore, from which Rs. 199.77 crore will be granted for land acquisition, rehabilitation, resettlement and preconstruction.

As estimated, the construction will be completed in 30 months, covering 79.31 kms of length and the concession period would be 27 years.
The motive is to accelerate the improvements in Rajasthan’s Infrastructure and also to reduce the issue of traffic on Gomati Chauraha, Udaipur.
Districts of Rajsamand and Udaipur in Rajasthan would be covered in this project; also there would be a chance for local laborers to get employment.
