Girl arrested in prostitution racket found COVID positive | Police team under quarantine

An early morning report from the CMHO has taken up the COVID count by 17 to 771. One of the infected persons is a girl who was arrested in the prostitution racket this week
 

Udaipur CMHO Dr Dinesh Kharadi informed today morning that 17 positive cases have been identified in Udaipur. This takes the total count of Udaipur COVID positive to 771.

One of the positive cases today include a girl who was arrested in the raid on prostitution centers earlier this week.  This girl had been produced in court and was let off on bail.  Police are now tracing her whereabouts on the basis of call records and mobile tracking.  This will help in identifying the close contacts and facilitate further testing.

The police team who had conducted the raid have been taken into quarantine and their samples have been sent for testing.

Of the 17, 11 patients are close contacts of existing COVID patients. 3 of them belong to Adarsh Nagar in Sec 4, Hiran Magri. 4 of the close contacts are working in Western Drugs, Mardi Industrial Area and one patient each has been identified from Kherwara, Hotel Sagar Palace in Udaipur, Silver Springs Apartment in Naratan Complex and Kumbha Nagar, Sector 4, Hiran Magri.

Of the 4 news (unrelated) COVID cases, apart from the girl mentioned above, there is one patient each from Bedwas, Bujhra village and Sector 9 in Savina.

2 patients are migrants who have arrived from Mumbai and belong to Kanod and Mavli.
