Heavy Vehicle to be Restricted on Amberi-Bhuwana to Kaya Highway
Udaipur restricts heavy vehicles on key routes...
Starting soon, new rules will restrict heavy vehicles from entering the city. This trial will last one month, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and if it works well, it could become a permanent rule.
Heavy vehicles will be banned from driving through these areas: Kaya to Amberi via Balicha, Pratap Nagar Square, and Chitrakoot Nagar to Bhuwana Square. This change is because a new highway is being built from Debari’s Great Separator to Kaya.
Right now, heavy vehicles use routes through Bhuwana, Pratap Nagar, and Balicha, which are busy with residential areas. Even though a new bypass is being built, heavy vehicles still use these roads, causing more accidents.
The new rules aim to reduce traffic and make the city safer by keeping heavy vehicles away from crowded streets. Vehicles that weigh 2.5 metric tons or more are considered heavy.
Also, heavy vehicles will be redirected away from Amberi to avoid going through Bhuwana. This should help with safety and traffic flow.
