Udaipur Police To Launch Helmet Awareness Drive
The district has lately seen an increase in road mishaps and loss of lives
Udaipur, October 7, 2024 – Udaipur police will launch an intensive drive in the city to make wearing of helmets mandatory for two-wheelers. This is in view of the increasing incidents of road mishaps involving two wheelers and subsequent loss of lives. It is also being conducted keeping in mind the festive season this month which is seeing an influx of tourists.
This campaign will be carried out under the direction of the District Superintendent of Police, Udaipur, Yogesh Goyal,
During the first seven days of the operation, police officials will make riders and the pillion riders aware of the necessity of wearing ISI-certified helmets. After the first week of the awareness campaign, violators will be fined, and chalaans issued. All two-wheeler riders in the district are urged by the traffic administration to use ISI-branded helmets while riding to avoid fines.
