A total of 3,193 voters, including people with disabilities and those aged 85, have applied for this facility

Udaipur, November 4, 2024 - Home voting for voters with disabilities and those aged 85 and above will start from today in seven Assembly constituencies across Rajasthan and will continue until November 10. A total of 3,193 voters have applied for this home voting facility.

The voting process officially started on October 30 with the issuance of ballots to soldiers. Home voting is the second phase of the voting process, in which 2,365 elderly and 828 disabled voters will participate. During this process, representatives from political parties and candidates will also be present at the voters' homes.

In the first phase, voting teams will visit these voters' homes between November 4 and 8. For those eligible voters who are unable to vote during this period, the voting teams will visit again on November 9 and 10. Voting via EVM will take place in these constituencies on November 13. Therefore, voters who will be busy with the voting teams, security, or essential services on election day will also be able to cast their votes before November 13. The counting of all these votes will take place on November 23.

"If a voter is not found at home at the scheduled time, the polling team will return on 9 or 10 November," an Election Commission spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, home voting in Assembly Constituency 156 - Salumber (ST) will commence on November 4. This process will occur in two phases.

Udaipur District Election Officer (Collector) Arvind Kumar Poswal informed that the first phase of home voting will take place from November 4 to November 8. The second phase will be conducted from November 9 to November 10 for voters who were absent during the first phase. A survey has been completed by the Booth Level Officers (BLOs), and a list of eligible voters has been prepared. Voting will be conducted at their homes using postal ballots, following the Election Commission's instructions while ensuring complete confidentiality, along with video and photography documentation.
