The Udaipur Divisonal Commissioner's office has issued orders for the extension of shutdown of Internet Services across Udaipur City, Bedla, Badgaon, Balicha, Debari, Eklingpura, Kanpur, Dhikli and Bhuwana for another 24hrs beginning 10pm on 17 August.

Internet Services are already suspended since 10pm on 16 August, following the school knifing incident, which took to ugly communal colors resulting in disruption of law and order in the city. Section 163, meanwhile continues to be applicable across Udaipur city and areas under the jurisdiction of UDA and UMC.

The disruption will not affect leased lines, broadband and internet connected to landlines and they will continue to function as usual.
