Kejriwal: Supreme Court Reserves Order on Bail Plea

The Supreme Court of India reserved its order on the Bail Plea of Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal in the liquor policy matter. Kejriwal was arrested on March 21, 2024 by the Enforcement Directorate. The Two Judge Bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan were hearing the plea.

Advocating Triple Test, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, the counsel for Arvind Kejriwal, told the Apex Court that Kejriwal, being the Chief Minister of Delhi is a constitutional functionary, cannot be a flight risk.

What is Triple Test

The Triple Test is a set of three conditions of which a Court must be convinced before it decides on the Bail Plea. These include flight risk, tampering of evidence and non-cooperation with further investigation.
