Lottery for Haj pilgrimage 2023 will take place from March 17 to 20
Flights will start from May 21, 2023
Children below 12 years will not be allowed to perform Haj
The schedule for the Haj pilgrimage 2023 was made public by the Haj Committee of India. Flights to Jeddah/Madina for the Haj pilgrimage will begin on May 21 following the lottery's draw, which will take place from March 17 to March 20.
The Haj quota will be set by the Indian Haj Committee based on applications following a lottery system which will be held from March 17 to 20, 2023. Beginning on March 24, 2023, lottery winners will be required to submit an advance payment. After this procedure, a Haj training session will be held in April. Flights will also begin at the same time and will run until the end of June.
Haj Policy 2023
According to the Haj Policy 2023, children below 12 years of age will not be allowed to perform Haj. People of age 75 and above will now be able to perform Haj. An additional benefit for Rajasthan Haj pilgrims is that they will be able to get direct flights from Jaipur to Jeddah and Medina. The Haj Application fee is free this time.
Quota provided for Haj pilgrims in India
It is noteworthy that India has been given a quota of Rs 1.75 lakh pilgrims for Haj 2023, out of which 80 per cent has been allotted to the Haj Committee and 20 per cent to private tour operators. About 6,000 pilgrims will go from Rajasthan this year, out of which 500 pilgrims from Udaipur will be able to go on Haj pilgrimage.
