In response to reports of water contamination in Madar Lake of Gogunda area due to marble slurry from a nearby canal, District Collector Arvind Poswal took immediate action. On Friday, April 12,2024, Collector conducted a thorough inspection of the affected area, accompanied by local officials.

During the inspection, Mr. Poswal assessed the situation firsthand and directed the Tehsildar and the Gram Panchayat to resolve the issue promptly. Villagers had raised concerns about marble sludge being dumped into the canal, leading to contamination of the water flowing into Madar Lake.

He also checked out the Chotta Madar Lake's sides. Seeing some damage and weed plants growing. He got worried about how weak the sides were and told the authorities to fix them fast so they wouldn't get worse.
