CM Ashok Gehlot: 1.96 crore guarantee cards distributed through “Mehangai Rahat" Camps
3,000 such camps are being organized in the state so far
CM Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday 3 May, 2023 informed while addressing the public rally in Kotda, Udaipur that 1.96 crore guarantee cards have been distributed in Rajasthan through the ongoing “Mehangai Rahat” camps. 10 government schemes are registered under this camp. 3,000 such camps are being organized in the state so far.
The “Mehangai Rahat Camp” was started from April 24, 2023, providing guarantee cards to avail various government schemes benefits. The benefits will be passed on to the eligible people from the date of the commencement of the schemes, after registration.
“Our focus is on the inflation relief camps so that families can save some money by taking the benefits of government schemes. We have given a guarantee for 10 schemes. He said it is a one-of-its-kind initiative of the Rajasthan government to provide relief to people from inflation.” the chief minister said.
The main focus of this camp, according to the CM, is the education and health sectors of the state. He says although these are in good condition, his government is paying more attention to these areas.
Benefits of Guarantee Card:
Registration has been done at these camps for various schemes which includes LPG cylinder subsidy scheme, Annapurna food package scheme, Free Electricity scheme (for farmers), the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme and Chiranjeevi accident insurance scheme, Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee scheme and social pension scheme. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and the BPL category will get an LPG cylinder per month of RS 500. Also, the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance scheme’s insurance amount has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. The Chiranjeevi accident insurance scheme, the amount has been increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
