November 18, 2024 - Victoria Kjaer Theilvig of Denmark was crowned Miss Universe at the 73rd edition of Miss Universe pageant held yesterday at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. India’s entry Rhea Singha failed to make it to the top 12.

Theilvig was crowned by Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua. The 21-year-old winner is a dancer, entrepreneur and an aspiring lawyer.

Chidimma Adetshina from Nigeria was the runner-up while the third place went to Maria Fernanda Beltran from Mexico.

The last time an Indian won the Miss Universe title was in 2021 when Harnaaz Sandhu took the crown. This was Denmark’s first win in the pageant’s history.
