Rajasthan will see new electricity rates from August 1, 2024 as announced by the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission. 

The revised order does not change the per-unit electricity rate but increases the fixed charges. This adjustment will affect electricity bills for September and October. 

Additionally, changes have been made to the discounts for industries. Previously, industries using electricity at night received a 7.5% discount. Under the new plan, industries using electricity between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM will now receive a 10% discount on unit rates.

Changes in Domestic Electricity Consumption Charges

1. For BPL (Below Poverty Line) consumers with up to 50 units of consumption, the charge has increased from Rs 100/- to Rs 150/-.
2. For regular consumers with up to 50 units of consumption, the charge has increased from Rs 125/- to Rs 150/-.
3. For consumption up to 150 units, the fixed charge has increased from Rs 230/- to Rs 250/-.
4. For consumption up to 300 units, the charge has increased from Rs 275/- to Rs 300/-.
5.  For consumption up to 500 units, the charge has increased from Rs 345/- to Rs 400/-.
6.  For consumption above 500 units, the charge has increased from Rs 400/- to Rs 450/-.
