North Western Railways General Manager Visits Udaipur
The General Manager of North Western Railway, Shri Amitabh visited Udaipur on a one-day tour on Wednesday, August 14,2024. During his visit, he reviewed the redevelopment work currently underway at the City Railway Station. Afterward, he inspected the Regional Rail Training Institute located at Sukhadia Circle.
The Principal of the Regional Rail Training Institute, Jai Prakash, provided an overview of the ongoing work and the training facilities available at the institute. Jai Prakash, the Principal of the institute, gave a presentation on the current activities and improvements being made. The General Manager then toured the construction sites of the demonstration yard, hostel, and mess. He emphasized the need for these projects to be completed swiftly. Additionally, he participated in a safety seminar held at the institute.
Over 900 Railway trainees currently receiving training at the institute were encouraged to work with greater alertness and awareness. Notably, on August 12, the Regional Rail Training Institute in Udaipur was awarded the "Excellent" certification by the Capacity Building Commission at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi for its outstanding work and high-quality training.
This recognition marks the institute as the first regional rail training institute in Indian Railways to receive such certification. To honor this achievement, the General Manager congratulated the institute and awarded it a cash prize of Rs 50,000/-.
