The seventh edition of "Pedal to Jungle" concluded on February 11, 2024, marking a successful program in promoting nature conservation and biodiversity awareness. Participants, including esteemed figures such as Sugna Ram Jat, Deputy Conservator of Forest, Dr. Bashobi Bhatnagar, and Manoj Oudichya, the Regional Forest Officer, gathered at 8:00 A.M. on Sunday, February 11, 2024, to embark on the final leg of their journey.

The participants started a 35-kilometer bicycle ride through rough trails within the sanctuary, encountering the breathtaking sights of Ambareti, Rana, Keli, and Sita Mata Temple along the way.

Throughout the journey, officials from the Forest Department provided valuable insights into the local biodiversity, emphasizing the importance of nature conservation and wildlife preservation. This immersive experience aimed to raise awareness and foster a deeper appreciation for the rich natural heritage of the sanctuary.

The closing ceremony, held at the entrance gate of Sita Mata Sanctuary, was graced by Sugna Ram Jat, Deputy Forest Conservator, as the chief guest. Rahul Bhatnagar, President of the Green People Society and Former forest officer, chaired the program, reflecting on the various activities conducted during the Pedal to Jungle initiative.

Addressing the participants, Mr. Sugna Ram Jat emphasized the significance of events like “Pedal to Jungle” in fostering public awareness and engagement in forest and wildlife conservation efforts. Mr. Rahul Bhatnagar elaborated on the diverse activities undertaken during the program, highlighting its impact on environmental consciousness.

Members of the Udaipur Cycling Club, including Mr. Nitesh Tak, shared their exhilarating experiences, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the ceremony. Certificates and mementos were presented to all participants as tokens of appreciation for their active involvement in promoting environmental stewardship.

Pratap Singh Chundawat, Former Forest officer, extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to all collaborators and participants for their contributions to the success of the Pedal to Jungle program. The initiative, organized under the auspices of the Green People Society, received support from key collaborators including the Forest Department, Udaipur Cycling Club and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Udaipur.
