Proposal for New Vande Bharat Service Between Udaipur-Ahmedabad
Assam Governor urges Railway Minister for improved train services...
Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria recently met with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to propose significant changes to the Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat train schedule. He suggested the train should depart Udaipur for Jaipur at 5:00 AM and return from Jaipur to Udaipur at 5:00 PM. This adjustment aims to enhance commuter convenience, allowing travelers to efficiently conduct business in Jaipur and return home to Udaipur by evening.
Current Vande Bharat Timings
Currently, the train departs Udaipur at 7:50 AM, arriving in Jaipur by 2:10 PM, with a return journey departing Jaipur at 3:45 PM and reaching Udaipur at 10:08 PM.
Proposal for New Vande Bharat
Governor Kataria also advocated for the introduction of a new Vande Bharat train service connecting Udaipur with Asarwa (Ahmedabad). Highlighting the potential to increase tourism in Udaipur, he emphasized the benefits for businesspersons, students, and visitors traveling between Mewar and Gujarat.
Furthermore, Kataria emphasized the need for enhanced rail connectivity between Udaipur and Southern India, citing a significant number of workers and students from Udaipur who frequently travel to states in the south.
Assuring Governor Kataria, Railway Minister Vaishnav considered both the request and said that he will implement it.
