The atmosphere at Gingla police station circle of Salumber district become tensed after the villagers blocked the highway and staged a massive protest against the incident of rape of minor girl.The protestors also burnt tyres on the road on Tuesday.

The incident came forth when the victim girl was found lying on the road unconscious with severe injuries on her private parts. She was immediately rushed to the Maharana Bhopal Government Hospital of Udaipur for treatment, her condition is said to be critical.

Salumber SP Arshad Ali said " Police swung in action soon after getting the information of the mishap, as per the report of the victim's family she went to the river to graze livestock but didn't turn up later Monday night. Her parents started searching her and found her in an unconscious state with severe injuries on private parts indicating that she was being sexually assaulted, however a case has been registered against unidentified accused under sections of POCSO Act and BNS and the hunt for the accused has been started".

But on the other hand annoyed with the incident the villagers blocked the highway demanding quick arrest of the accused. It was after hours of interaction between police and villegers that they somehow convinced them to vacant the road and assured them to arrest the accused within next 12 hours.
